Quality is interwoven throughout our people and processes. We hold our employees to high expectations, bringing out the best in their abilities and expertise. As an empowered work force, they help create an open, cooperative atmosphere. In fact, the free flow exchange is ideas between employees and management is the rule, not the exception.
Our staff of 75 includes several highly skilled machinists, the majority of whom have 10-plus years with us. In addition, our Quality Manager and our Quality Director, who is ASQC certified, each have more than 25 years of experience in this specific industry.
Processes
Kessington Machine has attained the high quality certification with each customer for parts that are delivered "dock-to-stores." we employ the principles of "lean manufacturing," utilizing Kaizen events. We also use 5S principles in the arrangement of our workspace, leading to grater efficiency and, ultimately, lower costs for you.
Facility
Quality was the driving force behind our move in 2003 to a spacious 55,000-square-foot facility on a 10-acre expandable site. Our 40,000 square feed of manufacturing space features high intensity, gymnasium-style lighting, a climate-controlled environment, a central quality assurance department, and a cleanliness that is not less than impressive.
Technology
From job inception through manufacturing and into inventory, our server-based LAN system supplies all job information at our fingertips. And, our operating systems are EDI-ready with a T-1 internet connection for the paperless office environment.
Certification
Quality is evidenced by the significant investment we make attaining certification and registration standards. Kessington Machine is certified to the latest ISO/AS quality standards. We are audited four times a year by BSI, Inc., a well-respected, accredited registrar. We are registered to ISO-9001;2008, AS-9100 Rev C and NADCAP-approved wire EDM by PRI.
