We are looking for a Plant Controller to join the Kessington team!! The Plant Controller, as a key member of the plant management team, provides leadership in the design, maintenance and evaluation of all financial activities for the plant in accordance with established policies. This position also provides guidance in setting strategic direction and designing business plans to achieve the long-term strategy of the plant.

The Controller is responsible for financial leadership in a plant with approx. 120 employees. The position's functional responsibility influences Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering Capital Projects and Materials Management through budget decisions, financial recommendations, Job cost profit analysis by part number and recommendations to achieve profit targets, part number cost feedback to the bidding process, and general business guidance.

-The position is the financial point of contact with internal/external auditors and banks.
-Interacts with all Plant Management through presentations of financial plans/analyses/strategies and is responsible for representing the financial performance of the plant in these discussions
-In conjunction with the President, sets the appropriate financial direction ensuring the proper reflection of financial results and forecasts.
-Facilitates proper reporting, analysis and follow-up monitoring of actual job cost and overhead cost results across manufacturing operations.
-Coordinate, consolidate and generally manage the development of plans for the plant including standard job costs and financial outlooks.
-Prepares annual cost standards, including existing and new products in concert with the bidding process
-Working in conjunction with Plant and Operations management, develop and implement financial and operational measurement tools focusing on productivity and customer service improvements.
-Accountable for the gathering, analyzing and interpreting job cost by part number of accounting and financial data for the preparation and presentation of meaningful reports, and recommendations to Plant Management and the bidding process.
-Responsible for internal controls and assures compliance to all relevant policies and procedures
-Facilitates development and deployment of processes and tools to enable improved budget planning and monitoring across all operations. ------This position maintains and communicates all variances to all levels on management.
-Develop and monitor financial margins for all incoming RFQ’s and maintains vigilance on their implementation throughout the manufacturing process in concert with the bidding process. 



  • CPA or CMA is preferred 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. 

  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in a similar position. 

  • Strong cost accounting and inventory control experience within a manufacturing environment. 

  • Experience walking the manufacturing floor daily and participating in plant operational meetings. 

  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection. 

  • Familiarization of Epicor version 10.2 ERP system a strong plus.  

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP. 

  • Demonstrated expertise in MS Office, advanced knowledge in Excel, Experience with MS Access.   

  • Good planning, analytical and organizational skills. 

  • Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines. 

  • Experience in creating cash flow projections. 

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. 

  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries from the business.  

  • Ability to effectively communicate with management, public groups, peers and staff.

We are looking for a Director of Human Resources to join the Kessington team!! 


The Director of Human Resources position entails providing support for a wide variety of activities including payroll functions, employee relations, administration of benefits and creating and running reports.  The Director of Human Resources must maintain confidentiality of employee as well as management and company information. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation and processing of weekly payroll.

  • Coordinating efforts between payroll, human resources and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data, including preparation and distribution of retirement contribution reports.

  • Handling administration of the electronic timekeeping system.  Setup and maintain employees, monitor submissions of approved timecards, ensure data transfers to/from payroll service.

  • Establishing/maintaining employee records and ensuring employee additions/changes are entered correctly and in a timely manner.

  • Screening, evaluating and recommending applicants for interviews.

  • Maintaining job documentation, job evaluation, and company salary structure systems.

  • Checking applicant references, making job offers and initiating needed paperwork.

  • Completing annual Affirmation Action plan.

  • Facilitating health benefits enrollment, answering general health benefits questions and serving as liaison between insurance carriers and employees.

  • Facilitating 401K enrollment, answering 401K questions, working with 401K reps and completing annual 401K census and audit.

  • Scheduling development and training courses.

  • Participating in development and execution of orientation programs and procedures for new employees.

  • Prepare and maintain procedures and policies.

  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions.

  • Facilitating actions to resolve the employee issues and escalating them to appropriate management team.
